Well, I guess this post is just a reason for me to pass the time. Oh, and I havenoticed I've used "Well," many times in my 3 posts so far, and I don't inted to stop.
I guess this post will be about my Drama prac. What is there to say about it? Well, (used it again...) basically, it's going to be terrifying for Mirain, and painful for the rest of us. God, when Miss told us about Artaud's or Brecht's (?) theatre of cruelty, she wasn't joking. To put it simply, me and Osian will have to carry a sturdy plank of wood and walk across the stage. Oh, and did I mention Mirain will be standing on top of the plank? We had a little test run with a metal box lid and it hurt. The ends of the lid dug into my palms as we walked across the studio, but I have to say Osian got off worse. A blue dent in the middle of his hand, which'll turn into a big ass bruise. That's dedication. That aside, our drama is potentially brilliant. It's just down to us to deliver, but my god, it's going to be difficult.
I think I'll move on to something slightly different. Arsenal's youngsters. Let's review.
1st round of the Carling Cup vs. Sheffield United. Pretty decent side, hoping to get back into the Premiership this season. They were hammered by a side with an average age of 18 6-0.
2nd round of the Carling Cup vs. Wigan Athletic. Again, pretty decent side, mid-table in the league, and they've out their full strength side out against these youngsters. Score? 3-0. With 10 minutes to go.
Now. Full-strength Arsenal side with Adebayor, Van Persie, Fabregas - the whole lot. They manage to lose 2-1 to Stoke City. Does that not send a message to Arsene Wenger? Arsenal first team not playing the best football, Arsenal reserves/youth playing brilliantly. Why not play the yoingsters week in, week out? They're obviously better than the first team, so why not give it a go? Or at least put half of them in your first team. Players like Ramsey and Vela. Ramsey is an awesome player (plus he's Welsh so he's doubly brilliant) and Vela has 4 goals in to Carling Cup matches, and will match Walcott for pace.
Now I'm a Chelsea fan, but I have to admire Arsenal's youngsters. I'm seriously worried for the future because in all honesty, Chelsea have not got the best reserve/youth team. We have a couple of good players, but not a team (sorry for the cliché). Arsenal's future is looking bright and the best of luck to them.
Right, Prison Break is on soon! So this is my fond farewell.
Cheers, Rhys.
