First Post!

Well, this is my first post on my first blog. Exciting news isn't it?

So, where to begin? Well, let's start from the beginning...

My mum and dad really loved each other 16 years ago and to express this they decided to....noooo I won't put you through that! But that's just a warning, I have a pretty rude mind.

Well. I went to the local nursery when I was 3 years old? And that was when I struck up a friendship with one Lewis Whetter and it started from there! We went to Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Garth Olwg. I was pretty much best friends with Lewis up until year 5 when we were separated - I went into year 6, he stayed in year 5 as he was in the younger half of the year. Shame really. I should really give a mention to Adam Hill as well. Our mother's met in Swansea Uni in their late teens and have stayed friends ever since and we loved near each other for years and me and Adam were besties from the word go. But he moved away somewhere, and didn't see him for a good 4/5 years. But then, he turns up in my year 4 class! Weird turn of events, but that's what happened! Then after that, we've been best friends ever since. Pure legend he is, fair play. But, it was in year 6 I became friends with a few people named, in alphabetical order, Andrew Ross, Christopher Burt, Tomos Prosser and Ieuan Riggs. God, year 6 was a fun year. Who can forget the memorable mooing cows in the field? Or "Boooootswaaaana!"? Brilliant.

Then, the 5 of us moved on to Ysgol Gyfun Rhydfelen, 7 Owain. Adam moved to 7 Gruffydd with god knows who. We were a great class, fair play. And year 7 was when I met a young man named Matthew Evans. What a legend he's turned out to be. Met him as a quiet kid that always had a nose in a book, but now he's completely come out of his shell and is among the funniest people I know. 7, 8 and 9 flew right by. In year 9, Andrew won the Eisteddfod for the first time in a long time for Owain. Brilliant. Then we moved on to the serious stuff - GCSE's. I opted to take Drama, History, French and Triple Science. Drama, History and French were brilliant, but Triple Science...bad move. Year 10 and 11 actually flew by too quickly and suddenly my exams were upon me. Absolutely bricking it at the time. But, I got through and my results were as follows:

  • French - A*
  • Drama - A
  • History - A
  • Maths - A
  • IT - B
  • Welsh Language - B
  • Welsh Literature - B
  • English Language - B
  • English Literature - B
  • Chemistry - B
  • RE - B
  • Biology - C
  • Physics - C

Absolutely ecstatic with my results. Received them while on a sunbed on holiday via text from Adam. Those results meant I could carry on to Sixth Form and I chose to carry on with Drama, History, French and IT. I was chosen to be a Swog for year 7 in Llangrannog and those 5 days in Llangrannog were just amazing. I had such a laugh with the rest of the Swogs. Then, recently, I went to London for 3 days to see Mamma Mia! and Les Miserables and those 3 days were again brilliant! Not quite Llangrannog, but still, awesome.

Well that just about wraps it up for now. Oh how can I finish without mentioning a few people...

  • Osian Williams
  • Michael Wescombe
  • Rhys Taylor
  • Ffion Rees
  • Mirain Williams
  • Emily Morris
  • Lowri Hughes
  • Sarah Thomas
  • Sarah Evans
  • Meilyr Rees
  • Ieuan Matthews
  • Gareth John
  • Kimberley James
  • Kate Jury

...but to name a few.

Anyway, hopefully you enjoyed this post and I'll be making some blogs when I feel I need to vent my feeling or opinions. Oh, and to finish, go Obama!

Cheers, Rhys.
